Based in North Yorkshire a team of six Quantity Surveyors is busily engaged in education projects, building and altering and extending schools across the county.

We now seek a Chartered MRICS QS to lead this friendly, tightly-knit team. You would be a focal liaison point between the customer, client and contractor, liaising with architectural advisors to deliver cost effective solutions to project requirements.

To fulfil the requirements of the role you will be adept at all pre and post contract QS activities including preparation of prelims, tendering, valuation and final account. You will have experience of preparing Bills of Quantities using RIPAC, CATO or similar software. You will have led small teams in the past and have an ability to bring the best out of those reporting to you. A track record in schools projects or similar publicly-funded schemes is paramount.

The successful candidate will be offered a temporary contract during their probation, joining the company on a permanent salaried basis upon successful completion of this interim period.
