This long established and specialist insurance company deals predominantly with insurance for the agricultural sector and offers a wide-range of commercial insurance policies to brokers and intermediaries across the UK

They now seek to appoint additional commercial insurance underwriters to their Farm Insurance team.

Job Summary (Description of main purposes of job)
To implement all necessary processing and underwriting of Farm Combined and other Scheme insurance within the agreed authority provided by insurers and as authorised by your Team Manager.
To abide by the agreed service standards of the Company.
To support the Company policy on staff training, development & appraisal system.
Help the Team achieve Financial Targets whilst delivering sound underwriting to provide insurers with the necessary returns.
Deliver a quality of work to comply with FSA regulations

Key Tasks
Build relationships with Insurers and Agents/Brokers to develop accounts to our mutual benefit.
To underwrite risks & issue accurate documentation on behalf of Insurers within agreed timescales and within authorisation given by your Team Manager.
To report as required to Team Manager on all processing, underwriting or employee problems.
To support as required all Underwriting staff.

Job Requirements
They are preferably seeking people with a few years commercial or ideally farm underwriting knowledge and experience. These are permanent positions which are available immediately. Candidates should ideally hold or be working towards a recognised CII qualification.

Salary / Benefits / Hours
Working Hours: 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch
Salary : Up to about £20,000 (or at a stretch slightly more) depending upon experience
23 days holiday rising to 25 after 2 years service
Company pension after 6 months probation period
4 x salary death in service benefit
