Volunteers wanted to work for a short or longer period with village community groups and in local schools in Uganda. Work will be varied to fit your interests and skills, and can include teaching English, IT, crafts, sports, first aid, building & DIY, agriculture and basic living skills, .
No formal qualifications are required but leadership skills are a must; this project is also suitable for family groups.
At Uganda Lodge you will have an opportunity to experience life in a typical African Village and work closely with the rural community in an area that sees few western visitors. During your stay it is possible to arrange a safari or take days off to visit one of Uganda’s National Parks or forest reserves.
£70 per week covers your accommodation and all your meals, which are cooked by local staff. Flights, personal items and transport to Ruhanga are your responsibility.
There is also a vacancy for a PROJECT MANAGER to oversee existing projects, set up new ones and welcome new volunteers and visitors. This needs to stay at Uganda Lodge for a minimum of three months
