The Area 14 network is located in the north east of England, and comprises 300km of motorways and trunk roads in North Yorkshire, Durham and Northumberland. As Managing Agent Contractor, the company are responsible for the provision of an integrated network management service, including

- provision of routine, winter and incident response services
- design and construction of maintenance and improvement schemes up to £500,000 in value
- design, co-ordination and supervision of maintenance and improvement schemes valued between £500,000 and £5 million
- network communication systems management, maintenance and improvement
The successful candidate must have relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying. Being used to dealing with figures up to the region of £50m would be looked upon as being a major benefit - though all candidates will be considered. Having been part of a team that has successfully delivered  major projects and having the ability to contribute to managing a team.
