We are looking for an engineer who covers predominantly fire alarm installation, but who also has some knowledge of security and access. The candidate must understand Burster type fire extinguishers. They will be working in the North West covering towards Carlisle. The majority of the work will be in Sellafield, so the ideal candidate will live around the Blackpool/Penrith area. They will be working in a team with 3 other engineers. The majority of the work will be fire alarm project installations, but they must also have an understanding of maitenance. They must also be able to pass security vetting for working at Sellafield. Van included and the standby rota is approx 1 in 4.

Job Description :
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
Carrying out PPM in accordance with current regulations and customers
requirements.
Responding to all reactive calls within Fire & Security contracts.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

To act as a responsible engineers within all clients properties.
Take a pro-active role in ensuring all PPM’s are carried out in accordance
with relevant standards and in the manner required.
Ensuring all reactive calls are attended to and closed within the timescales
stipulated by the individual contracts.
Ensuring all overtime claims, EWS forms, and mileage forms, expenses claims
are filled out correctly and given to the supervisor.
Participate in training and development activities as appropriate
Lead by example
Undertake other duties as requested by the area supervisor.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

The jobholder will be able to meet the requirements and demonstrate competence

proficient in Excel/Access/Word/PowerPoint.
Understanding and compliance with contractual requirements.
Ability to meet deadlines.

Understand the company DMS
Conversant with relevant legislation and compliance issues
Report writing, trend analysis, forecasts and presentations.
Have previous experience in a similar role.
Be pro-active and able to prioritise effectively.
